Can I sign-in to Robocraft Royale using my Robocraft account?
No, if you already have a Robocraft account you will need to create a separate account to play Robocraft Royale - here. This will create a Freejam account that acts like a hub to view/change your Royale account details, download the launcher and visit the website.
Can I merge my other Freejam game accounts into my Freejam account so they are all in one place?
At the moment this is something we are not planning to do.
However, this is something we may introduce to create an account hub so it is easier for players to all access their accounts and Freejam games.
When I launch Royale I get a Photon error message
Please make sure you are using the latest version of the Royale launcher. During the alpha testing, some players got this error message when using an older version of the launcher.
If you are using the latest version and still get this error, please send us a screenshot of the error message and then:-
- Close the game,
- Locate a file called output_log.txt (numbered 0-10). These can be found in C:\Games\Robocraft\Robocraft_Data\output_log.txt. For the Steam version you can find the output logs here: \Steam\steamapps\common\Robocraft.
- Sort them by date and time.
It is important to send us the output_log.txt of the session when it happened. The game must be totally closed before sending the file.
The long-term aim is to give the players an option to choose keyboard or mouse camera controls.
Keyboard camera controls are currently twitchy and not working as we want it to.
Press and hold down ALT to enable 'Free-look' and you can move the camera to see around you and your enemies, but cannot fire.
What is Robocraft Royale?
Robocraft Royale is a battle royale game set in the Robocraft universe. We’re the first 100 player Royale game to give players free rein over tons of different crazy Robots. 100 players battle in a large, immersive, 64km2 kilometer map home to mountain observatories, power stations and crashed spaceships. To survive you must search for and learn to use a variety of character-bots, with a multitude of abilities, that have been built by our creative Robocraft community.
How is Robocraft Royale different?
Although within the Battlegrounds/Royale genre, we bring our very special Robocraft twist. Unique weapon and movement options are available on a huge variety of community created robots. This opens up a whole host of new game-play options and our damage mechanics allow you to make the most of this.
What do you mean when you call the game an “experiment”?
Yes, we’re experimenting and it very exciting to do so. What you see is not the finished product in any way. The basis of Robocraft Royale is cherry picked from the best elements from two different Freejam games. However, while we test proof of concept, the game will naturally evolve and develop into something far different. Your interest, support and feedback provides the main driver of change.
How do you decide which robots will go into the Royale?
Created by the players of Robocraft, we give an opportunity for these robots to be used in new and exciting ways. We curate bots from the innumerable designs available from Robocraft’s Community Robot Factory (CRF). Expect to find the most distinct and fun bots to play, equipped with various weapon systems and special abilities. We’ll be hosting competitions so you’ll have a chance to get your robots into the game.
How do I get Robocraft Royale and for how much?
I have purchased the game and now it is F2P. I want a refund
Steam will carry out a forced refund and give your money back in full. ***This can only be carried out by Steam for purchases of a game***
Please follow this link How To Request A Refund in Steam Support to start the refund process.
Can I build my own robot like I can in Robocraft?
Unfortunately not, as this would make for an unfair royale game. We want to hone your ability to fight and survive, not your build skills. However, as the game develops we are always thinking about player customisation and creative expression. For example, we’ll host build competitions so that if you make a good bot for Robocraft, it might just show up in Robocraft Royale.
How can I get involved?
